Program DescriptionThis program will prepare students to take the WA State Home Care Aide Exam*. In addition to learning Home Care Aide skills, students will receive additional academic support, have a dedicated healthcare advisor and explore further opportunities in healthcare.
*Please note: To apply for the WA State Home Care Aide Exam you are required by law to have a Social Security Number. You will also need to be able to pass a Federal or Washington State Background Check.
Program InformationThis class is designed at a pace in which students receive more support than they would in a traditional college classroom. The program is designed with the needs of ESL students in mind, although the class is open to everyone. This program will allow students to earn their certificate to be able to work, while pursuing additional education in healthcare.

Degree OptionsThese credits can also apply to an AAS degree in Medical Assisting, Community Health and Wellness, or Human Services at Highline.
